Warriors vs. Grizzlies prediction, odds, line: 2022 NBA playoff picks, Game 2 bets from model on 86-58 run

The Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies will go head-to-head in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals on Friday at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Golden State holds a 3-2 series lead and can advance in the 2022 NBA playoffs with a win, but is coming off an embarrassing 39-point loss in Game 5 in Memphis. The Grizzlies continue to fight hard despite Ja Morant being doubtful for the remainder of the postseason after suffering a knee injury in Game 3.

Tipoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET on Friday night, and three of the five games in this series have been decided by five points or less, while the other two contests were 30+ point blowouts. However, Golden State is the eight-point favorite with the over-under listed at 218.5 in the latest Warriors vs. Grizzlies odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Before locking in any Grizzlies vs. Warriors picks, be sure to see the NBA predictions and betting advice from SportsLine’s proven computer model.

Why the Warriors can cover

The Warriors are coming off a 39-point loss in Game 5 where they were absolutely obliterated on the boards, with the Grizzlies winning that battle 55-37 and taking 19 more shots in the game (99-80). However, the silver lining in such a blowout was that nobody was on the floor for more than 25:21 in the game, and Golden State’s aging lineup should be well-rested for Game 6 at home.

The Warriors went 31-10 at home during the regular season and haven’t yet been beaten at home during the postseason, winning by an average margin of 14.6 points per game. Stephen Curry has had at least 30 points in all but one of those games and after a 14-point night on Wednesday, he’ll be eager to put on a performance for the home crowd.

Why the Grizzlies can cover

Guard Tyus Jones has stepped up in the absence of Morant. Jones is a smart and instinctive playmaker in the backcourt. The Duke product has a knack for steals with a smooth-looking jumper. Jones has scored in double figures in back-to-back games for Memphis. In Game 5, he finished with 21 points, nine assists and two steals.

Forward Brandon Clarke is an athletic force in the frontcourt. Clarke consistently plays with high energy and does a lot of the dirty work. The Gonzaga product has a soft touch in the paint and soars to the rim for alley-oops and putbacks. He is putting up 12.7 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting 66 percent from the field.
